"Veni, Vidi, Vici" I came, I saw, I conquered! That's how you should feel coming out of your interview. Have an upcoming job interview? Just need help preparing? Not a problem! I am going to help you ACE that interview. Before an interview, make sure to do a mock interview with someone (family member, professional) so that they can ask you a series of questions to help you prepare. I promise it helps! Next, ALWAYS do some background research on the company you will be interviewing for, it will help you prepare questions that you may have for them, but it will also show them your interest and help you decide whether the company is a right fit for you. Make sure to select appropriate business casual or formal interview attire depending on the interview. Most interviews are business casual, but make sure you know and dress accordingly. Keep make up, nail polish, cologne/perfume, and accessories to a minimum. Make sure hair is out of your face. Also, have a resume (a few even) handy for the date of the interview. These are a few things that you can do to prepare for the interview. The day of the interview, try to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Early is on time and on time is late in the business world. Know how far the place is and approximately how long it will take you to get there. When you get there, smile, shake hands, be polite. Have your resume handy. Relax and let them ask you questions. It is alright to take a moment and think about each question. Usually saying something like "that's a great question" and taking a moment to think is a good tactic to use. Don't take too long to respond, though. At the end of the interview, try to ask at least one question, shake their hand, and thank them for their time. If you have their email address, send an email thanking them for the interview. If you mention something they said in the interview that was somewhat personal to them, that would be a nice touch. Try to make connections during and after the interview. Form a bond. Other tips and tricks can be found on the internet, these barely scratch the surface, but these are a few things that you can do to prepare for and ace that interview! Good luck.
